To all new and existing members we have been doing our best all year to return to the track in a covid safe manner, but due to a lot of extra procedures, training and planning it has been difficult. I understand everyone is frustrated and we are working with Karting Australia to return to the track in the safest way possible and add a free year to all current memberships. We are now at the stage to ask for interest from our members in holding a planned practice day. This will not be a club day and there will be no charge for the day. It will be for FUN, re-connecting with our members and blowing the cob webs off the old karts.   

Unfortunately through this chaos and confusion we don't have all the contact details we need for all members. So if you could please email the club with your current details and pass this message along to anyone else you know in the club to do the same. When we have details of our members we will look at setting a date for an event and give you all the information on what we need you to do for covid safe event.

Thank you all for your understanding this year and your patients and I apologize for lack of communication throughout this year but it has been very overwhelming for myself personally and with the club. We having been trying and we are making progress.

2019 Victorian State Cup

2019 Victorian State Cup

This weekend the Bairnsdale Kart Club will host the 2019 Victorian State Cup ( Black Plate ) event. With drivers coming from all over the state & interstate to compete in the event all wanting to take home the black plate for their respective class to display on there karts for the next 12 Months. 

With racing on all weekend and free for the public to come and watch there will be a great display drivers showing there skills in possibly wet conditions.

With a number of local drivers boys & girls representing the Bairnsdale club in the event in a range of different classes we are hoping that they all achieve victory and that everyone will go home happy with their results.

Track gates open at 12pm Thursday for Pit Setup only 

Controlled practice starting at 9:30am Friday morning & running until 5pm for all karters to get used to the track ready for a big 2 days of racing.

Saturday on track action will kick of at 8am - 5pm 

Sunday 8:30am - until finals are competed which will be around 1:30pm.

Gates are open free to the public all weekend with easy car parking available thanks to the Motorbike club next door.

Canteen is also open to everyone inside the club rooms.

August Club Day

AUGUST CLUB DAY THIS SUNDAY

We will be running our monthly club day this coming Sunday the 25th of August. We haven't had a club day for a couple of months now so i hope everybody will be there to blow out those cobwebs & burn some rubber again.

 Lets make this Sunday a good event so support your club by bring those karts out & putting on a good show & even just to have some fun!!.

Online entries are encouraged but you can also enter on the day. Gates open at 8am, Practice starting at 9:15am, Racing kicking off at 10am.

This meeting will be held at the Bairnsdale RSL next Wednesday night 21st August at 7pm.
All members are encouraged to attend this meeting so you can have your say in who & how your club is run.

July Club Day Cancelled

There will be NO July club day this Sunday 28th due to lack of numbers to make it feasible. We are encouraging everybody to get there karts ready & come along to our August Club Day and make it a good one.
A note to all bairnsdale kart club members to put in there diary that next month there will be an AGM meeting at the RSL in Bairnsdale on Wednesday 21st August.
I would also like to mention about the C & D Grade Titles in Morwell coming up in a couple of weeks so if your a C or D grade licence holder this is a great race meet for you to get involved in.

Change of venue for committee meeting

This months committee meeting will be held in the club rooms next Wednesday night 24th July at an earlier start time of 5:30pm.
This will be a quick meeting to go over things that have happened & coming up events.
